WORKSHOPS with Carl Hargreaves You can also join us for weekend country retreats. Yoga and Meditation Day Sunday June 22nd, 2008 10am-5pm Exploring the Mind-Body connection. Ideal for beginners and advanced students who would like to work sensitively, clarify technique and deepen their practice. The practices will prepare for meditation. Great attention will be paid to the breath, -considered a bridge between the mind and body. The physical practice will support pranayama (breath), and ever more subtle work towards meditation. There will be an introductory talk, and opportunities for discussion, sharing and questions at certain points. There will be two main yoga sessions (mainly asana, and some pranayama) in preparation for cultivating three classic meditation techniques: Mindfulness of breathing (before lunch), Walking Meditation (after lunch); and a healing yoga variant of the Metta Bhavana ("loving kindness meditation").
